Whats the difference between scripts and lua?

Some people said lua folder must be in csgo root folder and scripts folder should be inside of nix folder
so im confused what lua folder does in the first place, scripts folder can load the lua but lua folder can't

I dont really understand what libs is but how to see the difference between the normal lua and the libs lua very confusing to me whats to put inside

csgo/nix/scripts is the main place for lua scripts, for average user csgo/lua folder is usless
Put all ur scripts to csgo/nix/scripts and don't think about. Only if lua author or cfg seller or anyone who gave you luas asks you to put smth to csgo/lua - do it, this may be needed for one of the scripts from main folder(csgo/nix/scripts) but nothing more
If you seriously want to know, there(csgo/lua) are libs(additions) for main scripts loaded from csgo/nix/scripts. They can't work on their own, but they they can be used by one of lua scripts from csgo/nix/scripts folder
This can be good benefit for lua coders, but for usual users it doesn't mater
My english knowlage is on low level, but I hope you'll understand me
